Journey:
Modernity has shifted our focus from the fundamentals of living to digital and tectonic flatness. Mindful architecture seeks to redirect our attention back to the duality of the mind and body by focusing on the tactile and visceral qualities of the physical world.
Responding to contemporary challenges, logoutt is playful and tactile in its design, encouraging users to interact and awaken their senses. Allowing them to personalise the space to enhance their experience. Logoutt’s architecture focuses on reviving our deep-rooted connection to nature to remedy modernity’s impact on our wellbeing.
Logoutt’s design marries contemporary elements with the rustic rawness of nature. Built as a fully assembled mobile structure that operates entirely off-grid to reduce our impact on our environment.
Concept: The Four Pillars
Every detail of the logoutt blueprint is designed with intent to evoke a mind-nature connection. Four pillars anchor the unique logoutt concept:
Biophilic-Minimalist:
A biophillic design means creating a connection between nature and architecture through integrating naturally inspired patterns and elements in the design.
At logoutt, biophilic means more than green and leaves. We appreciate nature in all its forms, by integrating raw elements of the landscape into the materiality sculpting the space. We celebrate the natural ageing of the materials as they weather, marrying the space with its surroundings.
The look and feel of the space is created purposefully to restore calm and welcome you in. The concept intertwines elements of Scandinavian contemporary with a natural finish. The interior leverages sunlight from every angle, showcasing the warmth of the wood as the rays flow through the glass. Clean shapes instantly declutter the space. With an added touch of playfulness through natural corrugation that applauds the landscape it calls home.
Deliberately stripping it back to basics allows rest for the mind. Whilst continuing the space with a covered deck using natural materials blurs the lines between inside and outside. To truly appreciate the boundlessness of nature.
The Circle:
Nature has no straight lines. A key objective of logoutt is to appreciate its raw form. Using a circle within the design is a reference to the cyclical nature of life.
A circle often appears in Japanese architecture to evoke deeper meaning. It is commonly used as a powerful symbol that represents serenity and union. Both of which are integral to our design’s philosophy of encouraging reconnection and respite. Marking a signature feature at logoutt, we’ve incorporated a circular elevation between the bed and living space. To both connect with our inner child as we climb in, and gently divide rest and living to respect the intimacy of a bed space. Stimulating your journey of exploration as you move from play to pause as you savour the peacefulness of outdoors from the comfort of your bed.
Smart Ergonomics:
Logoutt is created with flexibility to shape your space. Continuing the material from wall to floor extends the area for a spacious feel. Lining the perimeter with functional furniture maximises the space in the centre for free living.
Designed To Be Truly Off-grid
We’ve developed the space with the latest innovative solutions to fully operate as a mobile, off-grid unit. Giving us the flexibility to nest our spaces in places where others cannot reach.
Sustainability is at the heart of our space and experience – from sourcing materials to generating energy, logoutt is committed to designing spaces that are kind to the planet:
Power: The space is powered by renewable energy through integrated solar panels, while the triple-glazed doors and windows are built to meet passivhaus standard for maximum efficiency and minimise energy consumption.
Water: The bathroom features a compostable eco-toilet which eliminates water usage, saving nearly an average of 7 litres of water per flush that a standard toilet would use. In addition, we’ve installed an innovative shower with smart droplet-dispersible innovation to vastly reduce water usage by up to 70%, while enhancing the overall shower experience.
Materiality: Our aim is to source materials as responsibly as possible. For example, our kitchen countertop is made from 65% recycled waste wood and is locally sourced from within the UK . Logoutt is made to tread lightly. With guaranteed minimal impact on the environment it is lucky to call home.
